The longest-running of the current transfer promotions, and the one five trackers agree on.

In short

American Express Membership Rewards transfers to Marriott Bonvoy carry a 35% bonus through 10 December 2026, making 1,000 points worth 1,350 Bonvoy points.

10 December 2026

Amex announced a 35% transfer bonus to Marriott Bonvoy on 20 October. Transfer 1,000 Membership Rewards points and 1,350 Bonvoy points arrive, usually within about 48 hours. The minimum is 1,000 points. It runs to 10 December 2026, which makes it the longest window of the current crop.

Whether it is actually a good deal

One tracker worked the bonus out at roughly 1.26 cents per Amex point, against its own 2.04 cent average for Amex redemptions. On that basis, transferring to Marriott is a below-average use of Membership Rewards even with the bonus attached.

That does not make it useless. If you are short of points for a specific Marriott redemption you have already priced and found available, topping up at a 35% bonus is better than topping up without one. What it is not is a reason to move a balance speculatively. Valuations are estimates, not cash, and Marriott's dynamic award pricing means the cost of a given night can move between the day you transfer and the day you book.

The rule holds: find the award, confirm the price, then transfer. Transfers cannot be reversed.

Five independent trackers agree on the terms, but none of them verified it on Amex's own transfer page, which sits behind a login. Check your own transfer screen before committing.
