Citi stopped accepting applications as of 28 May 2026 and points new cash-back applicants to the Double Cash instead. Citi has said existing cardholders are not affected and can keep using the card. It no longer appears on Citi's card listing page.

Restrictions worth knowing
- Not available to new applicants.
- Citi has previously forced existing holders of a discontinued product into a different card, as it did with Citi Rewards+. That could happen here, though Citi has not said it will.
- Whether a product change into this card is still possible was not confirmed during this build.
How to use it well
- If you hold it, keep it. The automatic 5% on your top category with no activation is still one of the easiest cash-back structures to run.
- For a currently available alternative with rotating 5% categories, the Chase Freedom Flex is the closest match. For flat-rate simplicity, the Citi Double Cash is Citi's own recommendation.
