Benefits and credits
- No annual fee
- Points pool with Sapphire cards Held alongside a Sapphire Preferred or Reserve, the rewards become fully transferable Ultimate Rewards points.
Restrictions worth knowing
- Chase 5/24 applies.
- This card charges foreign transaction fees. Do not use it abroad.
- On its own, the rewards are cash back at a fixed rate, not transferable points.
How to use it well
- Pairing it with a Sapphire card is the point. 1.5% becomes 1.5x transferable points, which is worth considerably more than 1.5 cents if you transfer well.
- On its own, a flat 2% card returns more on general spending.
- Keep it as a no-fee anchor for your Ultimate Rewards account even after you stop using it daily.
