Restrictions worth knowing
- Sky Club visits are capped at 15 a year unless you spend $75,000.
- Amex applies a once-per-lifetime welcome bonus rule per product.
- The companion certificate covers the fare, not taxes and fees.
How to use it well
- Price the companion certificate against a real route you would fly. On a transcontinental Comfort fare it can exceed the annual fee by itself.
- If you fly Delta a handful of times a year and never use a lounge, the Platinum or Gold version is a better fit.
- The current welcome offer ends 4 November 2026. If you were planning to apply, that is the date to watch.
